[ARR] Episode 10- Ishgardian Intrigue

Our heroes know what they have to do; recover the Airship Enterprise and pilot it into the Howling Eye to face down Garuda. Unfortunately, the crashed Airship lies deep in the Coerthas Highlands, part of the territory of the Holy See of Ishgard. There they become entangled in a web of deception enabled by centuries of paranoia and religious zealotry, and must find the impostor among them to clear their names and gain access to the Stone Vigil. Turns out Catholicism and an endless war makes your society kind of bad!
 
This episode covers the A Realm Reborn MSQ levels 35-41, spanning from "Cold Reception" to "In Pursuit of the Past". It also covers the level 41 dungeon "Stone Vigil".

The Lord of Crags has crumbled, but your victory is short lived. The Waking Sands is rocked with violence as the Garlean Empire swoops in to all but destroy the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. Can you, Alphinaud Leveilleur, and a newly amnesia free Cid Garlond pick up the pieces and face the Lady of the Vortex? Does this emotional gut punch land at all? [ARR] Episode 08- Lord of Crags

This week we're tackling the infamous stretch of content that we like to call 'Titanquest'. Our heroes have to stop the Lord of Crags from sinking Limsa Lominsa into the sea, but before they can fell the Primal they need to go on several obnoxious fetchquests to prove their worthiness to the legendary Company of Heroes. In the Spoiler Zone we discuss more about Titan, the Kobolds, and what the future holds for them.

[ARR] Episode 07- The Haunting of Haukke Manor

Once again Ascian meddling is afoot, this time in an old manor out in the Twelveswood. Our heroes are assigned to investigate some mysterious murders and cleanse the darkness from a haunted mansion in this horror flavored chain of quests. We talk about the odd pacing of this part of ARR, the way it uses standard Gothic Horror tropes and how they can contradict their own worldbuilding, and have a discussion in the Spoiler Zone about how early and later expansions have a very different take on 'dark fantasy'.

[ARR] Episode 06- Big Trouble In Little Ala Mhigo

Hot on Lahabrea's trail, our heroes find themselves in Thanalan's scorching deserts once again. This time it's to investigate goings on around the refugee settlement of Little Ala Mhigo, where many barely scrape by and the embers of revolution smolder. Here we get to see the first inklings FFXIV thinks about resistance and revolution, which is predictably a bit fraught.

[ARR] Episode 05- On the Subject of Sylphs

After dealing with the fires of Ifrit, our heroes next stop is to investigate the playful Sylphs of Gridania and their god Ramuh, Lord of Levin. While there we will uncover more of the Garlean plot, get properly introduced to the Red Masked Ascian, and encounter A Realm Reborn's dicey portrayal of marginalized societies through the lens of "the beast tribes".

[ARR] Episode 04- Lord of the Inferno

Now that our heroes have officially joined the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, it's time for their first mission. A spate of kidnappings and murders has rocked the settlement of Camp Drybone, and alongside the robberies of crystals from nearby mines, Minfilia suspects this means there are Primal Shenanigans afoot. Our adventurers must face down their most dangerous foe yet, and in so doing they will rocket to a new level of fame, drawing the eye of the three Grand Companies of Eorzea, as well as meeting a pair of twins who may be more closely tied to the fate of the realm than one may suspect at first...

[ARR] Episode 03- Delve the Dungeons

Aurelius and Yisu's paths finally converge as their adventures lead them into some of Eorzea's dark corners. Appointed as Ambassador by their respective City States, the pair travel the realm, meeting each leader and familiarizing themselves with each city. Then, they are called on to delve the dungeons, their success bringing them acclaim and adoration. So much so that they catch the eye of a secretive organization working in the shadows to safeguard the realm's future; the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. Where will this new alliance take them, and what designs does Gaius van Baelsar have for Eorzea? Only time will tell.
 
Main Scenario Quests covered in this episode span from 'The Lominsan Envoy/The Ul'Dahn Envoy' to 'A Wild Rose By Any Other Name'. We also cover the Dungeons Sastasha (lvl 15), The Tam Tara Deepcroft (lvl 16), and Copperbell Mines (lvl 17).

[ARR] Episode 02- Echoes of Calamity

We're back from our little hiatus to continue the adventure. Our two heroes find themselves increasingly caught in the tapestry of fate. Continuing to help out the people of Thanalan and La Noscea, they eventually come into direct conflict with the mysterious man in the black mask, and his defeat only begins to raise further questions. Now for their heroics, they have been tasked by the leaders of their respective city states to travel the world, to finally memorialize the catastrophic Battle of Cartenau.
 
This episode covers MSQ levels 10-15 for A Realm Reborn, from "Sky High/Takin' What They're Givin'" to "The Limsan Envoy/The Ul'Dahn Envoy" for the Limsa and Ul'Dah starts respectively.

[ARR] Episode 01- Beginnings and Busywork

With the Preludes out of the way, it's finally time to begin our tale in earnest. As our pair of adventurers arrive in their respective cities, Nero and Jane will guide you through the scene setting of A Realm Reborn's earliest quests. It doesn't take long before the regular rhythms of banal busywork are interrupted by the hints of a greater quest. We will encounter odd allies, odder enemies, and glimpse visions of things to come on the first proper episode of Radio Free Hydaelyn.
